Nikki Sixx has a side project with Tracii Guns? I already had their debut album, Here Come The Brides, which was released March 9, 2004. But to see them live? SIGN ME UP!
The live band consisted of Nikki Sixx on bass, Tracii Guns on guitar, London LeGrand on vocals, and Scot Coogan on drums.
Their set included most of the new album, a mix of older Motley Crue songs and a couple L.A. Guns songs.
Kim and I made it to 2nd row on Nikki’s side and had a great view all night. I also brought my point and shoot film camera and planned for the first roll of film to be all B&W. Honestly, I think the band looks awesome captured that way. And as they say, a picture is worth a thousand words.
I grabbed a band promo poster off the wall of the venue but after the show I also bought the same version that was pre-signed by the whole band and 4-button set.
When we walked out of the venue, I remember the bus was parked right outside and there was a huge line….TO MEET NIKKI! Now, it wasn’t our first time meeting Nikki but we got in line anyway. Unfortunately, the line got cut before we had a chance, however, we did talk to Tracii Guns, which I had not seen live since 2002. All in all, a GREAT night!
