Just when I thought it couldn’t get any better (since I found out about the Crowes headlining their own tour)…NOW…NOW Alice in Chains has announced Chicago as 1 of 5 dates in May!!!! (If I don’t get tickets in the pre-sale Im gonna be PO’d! haha) The only thing that would make this year be totally cherry on top is if Metallica were to announce a small handful of US Summer tour dates! (I know, keep dreaming).

So, it’s April and this is the first “update” of 2006. A small delay in the new year but man, February and March were some crazy months for me! Just ask my friends and family. Hopefully that chaos won’t be happening again any time soon.
Ok, now on to the reason for this update. Since I make lists and track all sorts of things, towards the end of 2005 I updated my “number of concerts attended” on this website. I told a friend I was now up to 293 and he immediately asked, “who will be number 300?” Well…I didn’t have an answer. It was the end of the year and I did not have any concerts planned in 2006, yet anyway. I put the question on the back burner for the time being.
Some time in either February or March 2006, it hit me, “I need to recount!” I started to add up the few concerts I did have planned. Well, after counting all the concerts I’d been too, and recounting to be sure, two Rob Zombie concerts in April would be #299 and #300! I joked with my friends that I was glad it was Rob and not some cover band because it wouldn’t sound as cool. hehe (no offense to those in cover bands, because I love cover bands)
So, there you have it, after tonight’s Rob Zombie concert on April 11, 2006, I will have been to 300 concerts since 1986. How insane is that?! I was 16 when I went to my first concert. Damn, I’m old! haha Of course I had to take it one step further and look up the date of my first concert. April 18, 1986. So I’ll probably post another update in a week. haha
In other news…hubby and Jake and I went to FL for Spring Break. We drove and we had a blast! We went to Universal Studios in Orlando, visited my friend Sara and her family in Cape Coral and then headed down to Key West. We did a lot of cool things and saw many cool things. I’m waiting for my pics to come back and I hope to do a short write up soon. I WILL find the time! 😉
